How to make a call

When your account is activated and you have a positive credit balance (you need to have at least enough credit left to make a 1 min call to the country you want to call) you will be able to type a phone number into the address field and hit enter or call. To make a SkypeOut call, you must enter the number in the following way (even for local calls): "00" + "country code" + "number". You can also use "+" or "011" before the country code.

Examples (using the country code "1" for calling USA):

• + 1 (555) 555-1234
• +15555551234
• 00 1 555 555 1234
• 011-1-555-555-1234

Saving a number as a Contact

To save a number click on "Tools" menu and click "Add a Contact...". Type in the number you would like to save. Remember to use the "+" or "00" before the actual number to make it SkypeOut compatible. After you have clicked "Next" button to continue, the "Telephone number was added" window will appear. Type in a name or description for this phone number and click "Finish" button to complete the process. Now you should be able to see a new entry in your Contacts list that has a blue phone icon and the title that you have entered for it.

SkypeOut credit balance and Billing

You can see your current SkypeOut balance on "Start" section of Skype or by visiting your SkypeOut Account page. You can also check your call records and call prices on the SkypeOut Account page.
